As we reflect on our time at the ITB Berlin Convention 2025, it’s evident that this year’s event was more than just a gathering—it was a dynamic convergence of innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking strategies shaping the future of the travel industry.
Held from March 4–6, 2025, at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, the convention was themed “The Power of Transition Lives Here”. This theme underscored the industry’s ongoing transformation and the collective efforts required to navigate the evolving landscape.






Key Highlights from ITB Berlin Convention 2025
Expanded Participation: The convention attracted over 24,000 visitors, engaging in discussions across 17 thematic tracks spanning four stages. This growth reflects the industry’s expanding reach and the event’s status as a premier platform for global tourism professionals.
Diverse Program Tracks: Sessions delved into pressing topics such as:
Sustainability and Regenerative Tourism: Exploring strategies to promote responsible travel and mitigate environmental impact.
Artificial Intelligence in Travel: Understanding how AI is transforming customer experiences and operational efficiencies.
Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI): Focusing on creating more inclusive and equitable travel experiences for all.
Corporate Culture Transformation: Discussing workplace dynamics, the expectations of Gen Z, and adapting corporate strategies to an evolving world.
Innovative Formats: The introduction of the ITB Transition Labs offered 20 exclusive insights in just 90 minutes, providing marketing professionals with data-driven strategies to navigate the industry’s future challenges confidently.
Global Accessibility: For the first time, all convention sessions were live-streamed via the ITB Navigator and later available on the ITB Berlin YouTube channel, ensuring global access and long-term availability of the content.
Networking and Community Engagement
Beyond the sessions, the convention facilitated numerous networking opportunities:
ITB Speed Networking: Celebrating its tenth anniversary, this event offered time slots for buyers and exhibitors to engage in rapid and targeted dialogue.
ITB Talent Hub: In collaboration with the German Society for Tourism Science (DGT), this initiative promoted young talent and academic exchanges, featuring renowned universities such as the University of Innsbruck and the Munich University of Applied Sciences.
Connexion Night: A new networking event for young tourism professionals, organized by ITB Berlin, the Federal Association of the German Tourism Industry (BTW), and the Connected agency.
